Communication Studies Department

The Communication Studies Department provides students with lower division courses that meet the needs of university transfer students and/or students who earn an Associate of Arts degree in Communication Studies, as well as students who are interested in lifelong learning opportunities. Through the selection of lower division Communication Studies courses, students acquire an understanding of the process of communication regarding public communication, interpersonal communication, intercultural communication, argumentation and debate, oral interpretation of literature, and small group communication. Since communication is without question the most important skill in the workforce the Department strives to make our communication competency development opportunities as broad as possible for every major.

Business Management Department

The Business and Management program provides students with a broad understanding of business theories, including operational planning, management, and leadership. The program also helps students develop the practical skills needed to work in a variety of business settings—such as offices, manufacturing, retail, or healthcare—immediately.
