Purpose and Services

The Young Entrepreneur's Society is devoted to promoting student entrepreneurship and the philosophy of pursuing excellence in education and the business world. The club's scope includes helping students network with like-minded individuals, offering resources to support young entrepreneurs, promoting IVC student businesses in our community, working with other clubs, bringing entrepreneurs from the local community, self-improvement, and learning about and enjoying the journey of entrepreneurship.

Diversified Doctors of Irvine Valley College engages individuals to promote equitable access to medicine through outreach, research, and innovation. As future physicians and leaders in healthcare, we hold ourselves and others to a high moral code of integrity and care through outreach events, research initiatives, and healthcare innovation. IVC Model United Nations Adds Another Award to Their Collection

The IVC Model United Nations (MUN) team won the Best Delegate award at the Inland Empire Model United Nations Conference at Riverside City College. The team of five students represented Ghana and China on Security Council, and Denmark, Saudi Arabia, and Uganda on the Commission on Population and Development. The conference was attended by 100 students from two-year and four-year colleges in Southern California. Delegates debated strategies to mitigate sexual violence in conflict as well as enhance food security in a post-pandemic world.

For Ingrid Mariano, attending Irvine Valley College wasn't just a decision… it was destiny.

Mariano has made leaps and bounds since starting her educational journey at Irvine Valley College and landing a job as a preschool teacher at the Environmental Nature Center in Newport Beach.

Mariano's whirlwind career has included stops in varied fields like biology, geology, and even theme park management. However, a desire to balance a fulfilling career with family time drove her to a fateful decision to launch a new life with IVC.

Student Cybersecurity Team Emerges as Top-Performer at Regional Competition

IVC Cyber Optics Team

Irvine Valley College's Collegiate Cybersecurity team, Cyber Optics, recently competed in the Western Region Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition (WRCCDC) and emerged successful. The competition, held virtually, brought together teams from universities and colleges in the western region of the United States to test their skills in cybersecurity defense. The Cyber Optics team, made up of four students with a passion for cybersecurity, competed against 20 other teams in a simulated high-stress cybersecurity environment.

Dawn Pickering Celebration Endowed Scholarship

Dawn Pickering was born and raised in Orange County. After graduating from Santa Ana High School, she continued her education at UCI where she earned a bachelor’s degree in dance. She spent a large part of her adult life traveling the world as a professional dancer. Back in the states, she was part of the Solid Gold Las Vegas show cast. Dawn joined the IVC Family in January of 2013 and immediately embraced her work and all that IVC stood for.
