Coordinates multicultural programming and events that support our marginalized communities. In addition, we offer programs to support LGBTQIA+ students, Dreamers and undocumented students, current and former foster youth, students aged 25 years and older, women of color, and those facing food and housing insecurity.
The Student Activity Center is home of the Offices of Student Life and Student Equity, ASIVC, and Inter-Club Council. By purchasing ASIVC access, students have the opportunity to utilize the many recreational activities and engagement opportunities in the Student Activities Center.
The department of sociology teaches lower division courses that emphasize the systematic study of humans in groups, social interactions, and the ways social systems encourage and discourage certain kinds of behavior.
The School of the Arts epitomizes excellence in all the arts, offering programs in Art, Art History, Communication Studies, Dance, Digital Media Art, Fine Arts, Interactive Media Arts, Music, and Theatre Arts.
The School of Business Sciences offers a variety of programs and curriculum in Accounting, Business Management, Computer Information Management, Entrepreneurship, Paralegal Studies and Real Estate.
The School of Physical Sciences offers courses and programs in various branches of the physical sciences, including astronomy and physics, chemistry, geology and oceanography.
The Mathematics Department and Computer Sciences Department at Irvine Valley College offers comprehensive curriculums to meet the varied needs of students pursuing their academic and vocational goals.
The School of Life Sciences and Technologies at Irvine Valley College offers a wide range of courses in the biological sciences as well as selected courses in environmental studies. The introductory courses focus on theories and concepts in five primary areas: cellular and molecular biology, genetics, evolution, ecology, and whole organism biology.
The School of Languages and Learning Resources comprises English as a Second Language (ESL) and Adult ESL, Learning Centers, and five world languages: ASL (Sign), Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish.
