Guidance & Counseling
COUN 15
Students planning to enter any professional field that requires active listening, communication and intervention skills that will be central to their central roles. Helping occupations include, but are not limited to, working as teachers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, doctors, medical personnel, caregivers, firefighters, and law enforcement personnel. Students examine their role as a helper and applying the skills that they acquire to their own lives and relationships. COUN 15 was formerly offered as COUN 150.
School of Guidance and Counseling
The School of Guidance and Counseling provides counseling and Women's Studies courses as well as comprehensive counseling services. Both courses and services exist to help students with their academics career and personal concerns, thus serving the holistic needs of IVC students.
