Congratulations to Dean Traci Fahimi, Ed.D. for being named IVC's 2024 Manager of the Year at the Employee Recognition Ceremony on May 6.
Dr. Fahimi first came to IVC as a faculty member nearly 30 years ago teaching political science. She then rose to the position of Dean in 2016, and currently serves as Dean of Social and Behavioral Sciences, and Business Sciences.
Dr. Fahimi is recognized by her colleagues for her exceptional leadership and contributions to the college’s success. With a passion for fostering growth and innovation, she has demonstrated remarkable strategic vision and tireless commitment to her team and IVC. Drawing upon her extensive experience and expertise, she has consistently spearheaded initiatives that drive success and empower those around her.
Known for collaborative approach and ability to inspire others, she has led IVC's dual enrollment program from its early years, leading to exponential growth. She has also played a crucial role in other partnerships such as GAP4+1, Guided Pathways, catalog committee work, and curriculum development, showcasing her commitment to advancing educational excellence at IVC.
Her contributions extend to the development of IVC's application for the Aspen College Excellence Program, showcasing her strategic vision and commitment to excellence in higher education management.
Dr. Fahimi’s educational journey includes a B.A. and Ed.D. from the University of Southern California, as well as a B.A. and M.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles.
