The IVC and Saddleback Honors Programs held their 12th Annual IVC/Saddleback Student Research Symposium on November 3. Students from both colleges convened at IVC to share 59 oral and poster presentations of their research on topics including inequitable access to public transportation among community college students, AI-driven prediction for early detection of diabetes, and college students’ use of disposable vapes.
The event featured a keynote address by Dr. Anthony Szczurek, Professor of Political Science at Saddleback College, entitled “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Academic Research.” The Symposium was an exciting celebration of student scholarship and faculty mentors who have supported students in their research.
