Former Irvine Valley men's soccer two-year starter Jacob Edwards is now suiting up for NAIA Stanton University in Anaheim. Edwards helped Irvine Valley to the So. Cal. Regional Playoffs in both the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Irvine Valley goes four sets with Mt. San Antonio, but falls 25-10, 16-25, 25-14, 25-22. Emma Mendel led Irvine Valley with 11 kills and 10 digs and Delilah Rivero had 16 assists and 17 digs. IVC hosts its alumni match on Friday.

Former Irvine Valley star player Barett Nolan is heading to NCAA Division I Saint Mary's. Nolan was a two-time all-Orange Empire Conference player and helped the Lasers to the CCCAA state championship in the 2022 season.

Irvine Valley improves its record to 2-0 on the season with another lopsided victory on Friday at home. The Lasers defeat Grossmont, 8-1, and have now outscored their two opponents, 17-1. IVC had three players score two goals.

Irvine Valley goes to 0-2 on the year after another close loss to a top team in the state. The Lasers fell to College of the Canyons, 17-25, 25-20, 25-18, 25-23, on Wednesday on the road. IVC plays next at Santa Monica at noon Friday.

Irvine Valley takes a 1-0 lead early in the game Tuesday at home against El Camino, but the Warriors score twice in stoppage time, including getting the match-winner in the 95th minute to earn a 2-1 victory over the Lasers.

Irvine Valley goes on the road and beats Cuyamaca, 9-0, Friday in San Diego. The nine goals are the most for IVC in a match since the team defeated San Diego City, 8-0, in 2018. IVC plays its first home game next Friday.

The Irvine Valley women's soccer team was ranked fifth in the Orange Empire Conference Sports Information poll that was released on Monday. The Lasers officially open the season on Friday with a match at Cuyamaca at 3 p.m.

Former Irvine Valley state champion Chloe Swanson had another solid season in her senior year at Division I Saint Mary's in spring season. The Gaels went 20-16 overall and were also named an AVCA academic award winner.

Irvine Valley two-year starting catcher Aaron Serrato has committed to NCAA Division II Sul Ross State University in Texas. Serrato played in 67 games for the Lasers during the 2024 and 2025 seasons and hit five home runs.

Irvine Valley, which finished with a record of 16-14 overall last season, went 7-5 in conference and made the second round of the So. Cal. regional playoffs, opens the season on Saturday, Nov, 1 at Palomar at 5 p.m.
