Parking on Campus is by permit only in the designated spaces. Green curbed (timed) parking areas do not require a permit.
Students are reminded not to park in spaces marked for STAFF.
Disabled Parking
There are disabled spaces in each parking lot. A valid campus student/staff parking permit is required, in addition to the California Disabled Placard, to park in designated disabled spaces and all other available student/staff spaces.
Citations
Citations are issued for violations of the District's Traffic and Parking Regulations. Penalties range from $20.00 to $250.00, depending on the type of violation. An appeal process is available, and instructions are printed on each citation.
Beginning of semester waiver
Beginning on the first class meeting day of each full semester, the requirement to display a valid student-parking permit in student or other non-reserved parking areas is waived for two calendar weeks. The waiver also applies to the first week of the first summer session beginning on that first class meeting day. This waiver does not apply at metered, STAFF, DISABLED, or any other posted/reserved spaces. Citations will be issued for parking violations at these locations.
The South Orange County Community College District annually determines the cost of parking permits and the fees charged to purchase hourly permits from dispensers. Parking permits may be purchased online or at the Bursar's office.
Parking Permits
Parking permits purchased online will be mailed to students directly. If you do not purchase a permit during registration, you may purchase a permit at a later time through MySite, or at the Bursar's office located in the Student Service Building.
Parking permits should be displayed in the lower corner of the driver's side windshield. The new permits are "static cling" and do not require permit hangers. Irvine Valley College parking permits are valid for student/staff parking at Saddleback College.
Lost or Stolen Permits
If you lose your parking permit, go to the please go to the Bursar's Office located in the Student Services Center to purchase a replacement.
Daily Parking Permit Dispensers: $2/day
Daily parking permit dispensers are located near the entrances to Parking Lots #1, #5, #8 and the Performing Arts Center. When properly displayed, permits are valid in student parking only.
If you encounter a mechanical problem with one of the dispensers, please report it to Campus Police at 949-451-5234 or the A100 switchboard at 949-451-5100.
