From the Desk of The President: Student Basic Needs

IVC’s Basic Needs Center (BNC) serves as a hub for students experiencing housing insecurity, financial burdens, or any other challenges that hinder a student’s ability to fully engage in their educational journey. Our core services are grounded in the belief that before a student can be expected to succeed in an academic setting, it is imperative that their basic needs are not only met but prioritized.

Fundraising for Student Organizations Process

Fundraising is a great way for student organizations to raise money around a specific cause or purpose, however there are important guidelines that must be followed. Below, we have included a list of steps that must be taken in order for a club to begin fundraising. Please note that all of the steps must be completed by October 13, 2023. There are Student Life, College, and District protocols that must be adhered to so please plan accordingly and submit documentation as soon as possible.

IVC Hosts Blood Drive for National Day of Service and Remembrance

On September 11, the IVC community gathered to honor those who died on that tragic day 22 years ago with a ceremony led by President John Hernandez. In recognition of this National Day of Service and Remembrance, the campus hosted a blood drive to support the UCI Medical Center.

In all, 78 donors provided 52 units of blood, which will impact up to 156 lives. These numbers are more than just statistics; they represent potential lives saved and improved. Thank you to everyone who participated!
