The Articulation Officer (AO) is the person responsible for facilitating articulation agreements between Irvine Valley College and other colleges and universities. The AO works with faculty in identifying courses that articulate to fulfill California State University (CSU) and University of California (UC) general education pattern requirements, as well as campus-specific course-to-course articulations important for major preparation requirements.
The Art Department is made up of several programs for students interested in studying or creating art. Explore the language of Art through Art History and discover the way artists have used art to represent their lives and the world around them. Create visual art using drawing, painting, printmaking, and sculpture techniques and concepts. Produce digital media art content for graphic design, photography, and video projects. Develop immersive worlds through interactive media using animation, game design, and environmental design.
The Department of Anthropology introduces students to the tools used to study human behavior past and present in order to better understand what it means to be human, comprehend our biological origins and connections to other species, and make sense of modern human behavioral patterns. Students are introduced to Physical and Cultural Anthropology, Linguistics, and Archaeology.

The Administration of Justice program acquaints pre-service and in-service students with the principles and practices of the criminal justice system in America and prepares students for employment in various agencies. Federal, state and local civil service regulations govern the appointment of criminal justice candidates. Eligibility for appointment depends upon performance in competitive written and oral examinations as well as education and experience.
