ESL/AESL Counseling

Counselors are available to assist ESL students with any questions about the college and classes. As an ESL student, often times you are not only new to the college, but also to the country. The counselors at IVC want to assist you.

At the English Learning Center (ELC), we have an ESL Counselor to help you with registering for classes, finding campus resources, and setting up academic and career goals. Contact the English Learning Center (ELC), Room 203 to schedule an appointment.

In addition, there is a Study Skills class (Counseling 10) specifically for ESL students to help assist with development of study skills for English language learners. For more information on the class contact the ESL counselor. Also, if you are 25 years or older, we have a Re-Entry program that helps students return to college, and workshops and events are offered to help you make connections at IVC and in the community.​​​​​
