IVC Campus Closed until March 31
On Tuesday, March 17 the Public Health Officer of the Orange County Health Care Agency ordered the closure of all non-essential businesses and functions throughout Orange County through March 31. Effective at 5 pm Wednesday, March 18 the IVC campus will close to students and staff. All IVC staff will begin working remotely in order to continue offering services and support to students.
Beginning Monday, March 23, IVC will transition to 100% online-only instruction for the remainder of the spring term with the exception of a few lab/practicum sections. Students are asked to not return to campus after spring break and instead wait to be contacted by your professor via email or through Canvas. All 1,155 sections will move online immediately and some students may be asked to return to campus when the college reopens to complete labs/practicums. The faculty are working diligently to reduce this number.
Tutoring, counseling and other support services will also be available online. Student Support Services are taking measures to provide students with information via Zoom, telephone, email, and online. The Health and Wellness Center will offer services using telemedicine and referral services.
We currently have NO known cases of the coronavirus on the IVC campus. We are taking these actions pre-emptively to ensure the safety and well-being of the entire IVC community.
