COVID-19 Updates & Resources

February 10, 2020

For Immediate Release:
Monday, February 10, 2020

While the number of cases related to the coronavirus is, unfortunately, rising around the world, IVC continues to monitor the situation closely with our health agency partners. We have no new information to report.

In addition to concern for the coronavirus, we encourage you to practice healthy habits to help prevent the flu. If you are sick, please stay home and always cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when coughing or sneezing. This may prevent those around you from getting sick. It’s also critical that we all practice handwashing. Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs. If soap and water are not available, use an alcohol-based hand rub. Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth and clean and disinfect surfaces at home, work and school. Finally, college and work can be stressful – don’t forget to get plenty of sleep, be physically active, eat well and drink plenty of fluids.

In several days, we will have an extended long weekend. It will be an opportunity for us to all rest and recharge. Let’s continue to work together to stay healthy and support each other!

Best regards,
