Eleven students and three advisors traveled to Chicago, IL for the 69th annual National Conference of the American Criminal Justice Association - Lambda Alpha Epsilon (ACJA-LAE).  An essential portion of the conference is dedicated to the competition between the national chapters in criminal justice skills, such as physical fitness, crime scene investigation, firearms, and academic tests in criminal law, police supervision, juvenile delinquency, and general ACJA history and knowledge.

Most of the students participated in the competition and one, Eric Asuncion, was able to secure SECOND place in the physical agility for males 26-35 years old.  As a team, the XTE students were able to come together and work hard to land THIRD place in the talent show with their rendition of the Beach Boys hit "California Girls".  It was a fun and educational trip highlighted by a tour of a juvenile correctional facility along with a historic tour of downtown Chicago.
