Title IX:

What is Title IX?

"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance."

– Title IX, Education Amendments of 1972, Section 1681(a)

Title IX is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity. Title IX prohibits gender discrimination, including sexual harassment, sexual violence and stalking. ​

 April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and at Irvine Valley College we have dedicated April 11th to April 14th, 2016 as Sexual Assault Awareness Week.
