Welcome to Psi Beta at IVC!

Psi Beta's mission is to promote professional development and psychological literacy of all students at two-year colleges through promotion and recognition of excellence in scholarship, leadership, research, and community service.

Psi Beta at Irvine Valley College meets on certain
 Fridays of each month from 12:30 to 2:00 PM. Try to arrive early due to limited seating. Not all meetings in the same room - see below for details. Immediately after regular Psi Beta meetings, the Psi Beta Research Committee will meet in B116 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM (Note - B116 is in the B100 building, not BSTIC).
Schedule for our regular Friday meetings, Fall 2015:
August 28 - BSTIC 103 - First meeting of the new year! Come and learn about Psi Beta's service-learning projects, faculty-mentored research projects, guest lectures, special meetings, and other activities planned for the year! Learn also about Psi Beta's membership requirements and how you can become a lifetime member of the Psi Beta National Honor Society!

September 18 - BSTIC 103, 12:30 PM
- Professor Mike Cassens will give his academic and career pathway talk!!!

September 25 - BSTIC 116, 12:30 PM -
Dr. Stark - Memory researchers at UC Irvine!!!

October 16 - B116 (In the B100 building), 12:30 PM - Song analysis - students will share their favorite psychology-related songs!!!

October 23 - BSTIC 103, 7 PM (time is subject to change) - Fall Induction - Our keynote speaker (Dr. Kari Tucker) will present her landmark research on happiness!!! 

November 13 - BSTIC 116, 12:30 PM - Dr. Scarlet on Superhero Therapy!!!

November 20 - BSTIC 116, 12:30 PM - Speaker To Be Announced

NOTE: Following most regular Psi Beta meetings, the Psi Beta Student Research Committee will meet from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in B116 (in the B100 building).
