Some of you are making the transition from high school to college; some are coming to college after an interval away from school; and still others are retraining or regrouping after years in the workforce. Whether you are planning to pursue a two-year degree or certificate, transfer to a four-year university, or enhance your career potential, I am confident that you have made the right choice by choosing to come to Irvine Valley College.

Who can attend IVC

You may attend Irvine Valley College if:

• you are a high school graduate (or have a High School Equivalency Certificate), or
• you are 18 years old or older and show evidence of being able to benefit from instruction, or
• you are a high school student grades (grades 9-12)
(High school students may attend as special part-time students with permission from their high schools - see the K-12 page for details), or
• you are in the eighth grade or under - with recommendation from your school principal and approval of the instructor and school dean -see the K-12 page for details.

International Student (F1 Visa) Application Procedures

Apply online or in person.

Applications are available on campus at the Office of Admissions and Records.

Applications are not accepted through the mail.

Contact the Office of Admissions and Records if you have questions.

Once your application has been processed, go to MySite to view your priority registration times (under My Information).

You may need to complete an assessment and orientation or advisement session. You will be notified after you apply whether you need to complete an assessment.
