Psi Beta Benefits

Psi Beta is IVC's award winning honor society for students interested in the field of psychology. Qualified students do not have to be a psychology major in order to join Psi Beta. 

Our Psi Beta chapter meets twice a month. Typical activities include:
Community service projects 
Visiting a mental hospital and making crafts with patients
Putting on a Halloween party for the child care students
Collecting stuffed animals for children who have experienced trauma
Visiting Orangewood and working with abused children
Fund raising activities
Selling food at a boutique
Attending a television sitcom taping (our club is paid for each guest)
Hosting club garage sales
Educational activities 
Attending a professional psychology conference and presenting our own research at a poster or paper session (We attend the Western Psychological Association professional psychology conference every spring semester)
Carpooling to a university and hear a psychologist speak
Attending IVC's psychology video series
Attending the annual psychology conference for 2-year college students
