January 31, 9:24 AM, Medical Aid, Health Center  An Irvine Valley College Instructor was showing signs of a possible heart attack.  Orange County Fire Paramedics and Irvine Valley College Police were immediately dispatched and responded.  The patient was transported to a nearby hospital.  Report taken.

October 14, 9:36 AM, Traffic Hazard, Lot 5  While a truck was in motion, the trailer that was attached to it fell off causing the Performing Arts Center to be blocked. There were no injuries reported. Report taken.
October 12, 2:25 PM , Medical Aid, Lot 8  A construction worker suffered from chest pains and symptoms of possible heat exhaustion.  Orange County Fire Paramedics were immediately notified and responded.  The patient was transported to Hoag Hospital.  Report taken.

October 6, 7:21 PM, Medical Aid, PE160  A student suffered an epileptic seizure in PE160.  Orange County Fire Paramedics were immediately notified and responded. The patient refused any further treatment.  Report taken. 
October 4, 5:17 PM, Medical Aid, Irvine Center Drive and Jeffrey  A driver appeared to be failing to yield as an Irvine Valley College Police Officer was attempting to pull over the vehicle. The driver led the officer off of the campus and eventually pulled over.  The driver claimed to have chest pains. Orange County Fire Paramedics were immediately notified and dispatched by Irvine Valley College Police Communications Center.  The driver was transported to a local hospital for an evaluation. October 4, 3:03 PM, Suspicious Circumstances, Lot 9   There appeared to be an attempted theft of construction equipment at the construction site in Lot9.  No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

August 22, Medical Aid, PE200 A female student was reported to have broken her leg in building PE200. IVC Campus Police and OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. The patient was transported to Hoag Hospital in Irvine by Doctors Ambulance. Report taken.
August 22, Grand Theft, Soccer Field A student contacted IVC Campus Police to report his iPhone4 and wallet stolen.  A witness saw a male subject standing in the area of where the backpack was placed. As of this date no further action is in progress.  Report taken.

August 1, Grand Theft. A student reported her ipad stolen from Building B200. A possible suspect was reported walking away with the ipad. Report taken.

July 21, Medical Aid. A male student was reported to be unconscious and on the ground between the Library and the construction site for the new amphitheater. IVC Campus Police was immediately dispatched. Upon arrival, police observed several people attending to a young male adult who was unconscious and on the ground. The Health Services Nurse was already on scene. OCFA Paramedics were called and responded. The patient was transported by Doctors Ambulance to HOAG Hospital. Report taken.

July 10 – July 16

July 10, Malicious Destruction-Vandalism. During a routine patrol check an IVC Campus Police Officer observed that a vending machine had been vandalized. No suspects were seen or reported. Report taken.

July 3 – July 9

July 7, Verbal Threats. A student was reported to have made verbal threats to an IVC employee on the telephone. After a police investigation, it was determined that there was no threat and that this alleged crime was unfounded.

July 6, Medical Aid. A female was observed to have fainted by an IVC Campus Police Lieutenant. She was driven to the A-100 Building in order to be removed from the hot weather. OCFA Paramedics were called and responded. The patient was transported to HOAG Hospital. Report taken.

June 21, Suspicious Person. A female was reported to be washing her clothes in the restroom located in the Administration Building. IVC Campus Police arrived to find a female pushing a cart on campus. As police investigated further, they found no damage or any items missing from the restroom. No further action was taken.

June 5 – June 11

June 6, Burglary Commercial. It appears that a suspect(s) entered through the rear door of the Custodian Warehouse. Approximately 15 campus keys were stolen and a fire extinguisher was missing. Photos were taken of the crime scene. An investigation is still in progress. Report taken.

May 29 – June 4

June 4, Grand Theft. An IVC Campus Police Officer was patrolling the campus grounds between the BSTIC Building and the Library. He noticed a custodian electric work cart partially in the bushes. It appeared that a suspect attempted to "hot wire" the starter but failed. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

May 22 - May 28

May 28, Stalking. A female student contacted the IVC Campus Police reporting that a fellow male student has been following and possibly stalking her. Both parties have been interviewed by police and a Dean. It appears that this issue has resolved itself. No further action is being taken at this time. Report taken.

April 28, Petty Theft. A student contacted IVC Campus Police to report his stolen bicycle. According to the victim, his bike was locked up in the bicycle rack between the BSTIC Building and A-300. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 28, Disruptive Behavior. IVC Campus Police was informed that there was a verbal dispute between an instructor and a student. The student did not appear to be an immediate threat to the instructor. The student was assisted by the Acting Chair of Biology. Report taken.

April 26, Vandalism. A vendor parked his vehicle to respond to BSTIC Building. When he returned to his vehicle, he saw that someone had damaged his vehicle with an unknown type of sharp object. Possibly a key. The vendor stated that he may know the suspect's identity. Earlier he had an exchange of words with a student over a parking situation.

April 25, Petty Theft. A student reported to IVC Campus Police that she was in the restroom in BSTIC located on the first floor. She placed her books and iphone on a metal shelf. When she exited the stall, she discovered that the iphone was missing. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 17 - April 23

April 19, Attempted Burglary. A vandalism or an attempted vehicle burglary occurred in Lot #5. The victim's vehicle lock had been damaged by what appeared to be a tool similar to a flat bladed screw driver. The key slot was punched out and inoperable. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 18, Medical Aid. A school employee was being seen at the Health Services Center for slurred speech and high blood pressure. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. The patient was transported to a local hospital for further treatment.

April 18, Medical Aid. A student fainted in Room A-308. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. Paramedics checked out the patient and determined that she would be fine. No further action was taken.

April 10 - April 16

April 13, Assault and Battery. A student was a victim of assault and battery during a class break in Building A-200. The victim stated that he did not wish to forward this incident to the District Attorney for filing charges. Report taken for documentation only.

April 13, Non-Traffic Collision, College. A hit and run occurred in Lot #10. A witness stated she saw a vehicle that was backing up hit a legally parked vehicle. The suspect stepped out of her vehicle and looked at the damage and left the scene. Report taken.

April 13, Medical Aid. A distraught student was assisted by the Health Center Nurse for mental issues. The patient was voluntarily transpoted to a nearby hospital for help. Report taken.

April 11, Petty Theft. A student while buying coffee left his wallet on a coffee cart. He later realized that he forgot his wallet. He returned to the coffee cart to find his wallet missing. None of the employees that were present saw his wallet. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 7, Vandalism. It was observed by Campus Police that the glass covering the Parking Permit Vending Machine was scratched with some type of sharp object. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 5, Petty Theft. A student returned to his vehicle to find that his parking permit was stolen. The vehicle has zipper windows allowing easy access to the interior. The zipper was left down by the driver. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 5, Vandalism. It was reported that the faucets in the men's restroom located on the first floor of the Library were broken off. The faucets were complete and functioning the day before according to a custodian. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 5, Petty Theft. A student returned to his vehicle to find that his parking permit was stolen. The vehicle car doors were locked. The wind wing on the driver's side was left partially open. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

April 5, Vandalism. A student returned to her vehicle to find that it had been damaged. It appeared to be damaged with an unknown type of sharp object possibly a key. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

March 27 - April 2

April 1, Medical Aid. A student fainted in Room B363. The Health Center Nurse responded. The patient was treated by the nurse in the Health Center. Report taken.

March 31, Medical Aid. A female was reported having a panic attack in a vehicle in Lot #4. OCFA Paramedics were notified and responded. The patient refused paramedic treatment. Later the patient was voluntarily transported to a psychiatric facility for treatment. Report taken.

March 30, Petty Theft. A student reported that her parking permit was stolen from her vehicle. She had locked all the car doors. The driver's window was partially down. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

March 28, Possession of a Fictitious Identification Card. A student was in possession of two identification cards at the Bursar's Office. The student voluntarily gave the fictitious card to a Campus Police Officer. The student was issued a citation and the card was placed in Evidence. The District Attorney has been asked to review the case. Report taken.

March 20 - March 26

March 23, Injury Report. A student fell while walking down the steps located in PAC backstage area. The injuries appeared minor and medical attention was declined by this student. Report taken.

March 22, Disorderly Person. A student and teacher were engaged in a verbal disagreement during class. Both the student and teacher were able to resolve the issue with no further action taken.

March 13 - March 19

March 17, Vandalism-Graffiti, 9. An unknown suspect vandalized the Men's Restroom located in the PE 200 Building with graffiti. Report taken.

March 6 - March 12

March 11, Resisting/Delaying a Police Officer and Littering. A subject was angered due to receiving a parking citation. The subject was cited and released. The subject signed a written promise to appear at Harbor Justice Center. He was released from custody.

March 10, Disturbing the Peace on School Campus - Fighting. Two male students were reported to be in a physical altercation on campus. The injuries appeared to be minor. One of the parties involved was going to seek medical attention as a precaution. He complained to have pain to the back of his head. Neither party involved requested prosecution for assault and battery. Report taken.

March 8, Vandalism-Graffiti. A custodial staff member found graffiti in the men's restroom located in Building A-400. A permanent marker was used. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

March 7, Burglary. A student found her parking permit stolen in Lot #8 when she returned to her vehicle. The vehicle window was left down. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

February 27 - March 5

March 3, Grand Theft, College. An instructor parked his vehicle in Lot #1. When he returned to his vehicle, the catalytic converter was missing from his vehicle. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

February 27, Unlicensed Car Dealer. During the Car Faire, it was observed by Irvine Valley Campus Police that a subject was illegally selling vehicles on campus located in Lot #5. As a result, four vehicles were impounded. The suspect was cited for sales of a vehicle by other than the registered owner or dealer. Report taken.

February 20 - February 26

February 25, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, College. A hit and run occurred in Lot #4. The victim parked her vehicle and returned to find it damaged. She found scratches on the side doors. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

February 17, Suspicious Subject and Activity. A male subject was reported selling heroin on campus. He is not a student at this college, but comes on campus to sell narcotics. Report taken.

February 16, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, College. A hit and run ocurred in Lot #4. The victim parked their vehicle and returned to find it damaged. The victim stated that there was bumper damage. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

February 14, Vandalism, Parking Lot 10. A student found that his vehicle had been scratched with an unknown type of sharp object. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

February 2, Vandalism, Parking Lot 2. A student found that his vehicle had been scratched with an unknown type of sharp object. No suspect was seen or reported. Report taken.

January 31, Medical Aid, Life Fitness Center. A student, while at the Fitness Center, was in extreme pain and requested medical assistance. The pain she was experiencing was located in her left torso. OCFA Paramedics responded and the victim was transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

January 31, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, College. A minor hit and run occurred near Lot 5. The victim was able to give a vehicle description and license plate. No further action was taken as per the victim's request. Report taken.

January 23 - January 29

January 25, Disruptive Behavior. Students became involved in a verbal confrontation over a parking situation. One subject threatened to vandalize the other student's vehicle. This issue was cordially resolved amongst each other. No report taken.

January 24, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, College. Vehicle #1 and Vehicle #2 were both backing out of their parking stalls. Both parties claim that they had backed into the driving lane when the other vehicle collided into their vehicle. The investigation was unable to determine which party was at fault. Report taken.

January 20, Petty Theft, PE100. A student parked his Hummer Mountain bike near the Life Fitness Room. He left the bicycle unlocked while he went to work out. When he returned, he found that someone had stolen his bicycle. Report taken.

January 20, Medical Aid, Student Services Center. A student suffered from self-inflicted wounds on his chest and right forearm. The victim was transported and admitted to a treatment center. Report taken.

January 9 – January 15

January 15, Medical Aid, Lot 5. A staff member reported tripping over a curb while walking to the Media Resource Center from Lot 5. She fell on her left knee where redness was visible.She requested an ice pack, but refused any other first aid. Report taken.

January 13, Medical Aid, A400. A student who was watching a movie in her biology class, fainted at the sight of blood and fell over hitting her head on the ground. OCFA paramedics were called and responded to the location. The victim was examined and transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

January 11, Injury Report, B200. The victim, who is a staff member, said he was walking between B200 and Kaplan when he tripped over a concrete bench and fell on his back. The victim declined medical aid. Report taken.

January 10-11, Vandalism, Parking Lot 2. The victim said she had parked her car in Lot 2 and then went to class. When she returned to her vehicle, she discovered that an unknown suspect had keyed the right and left side of her vehicle. Report taken.

January 7, Medical Aid, A200. Campus police were called to the A200 building in response to a female complaining of chest pains. OCFA paramedics were called and responded to the location. The victim was examined and transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

January 3, Petty Theft, Bookstore. Victim reported that she works in the bookstore and had placed her coat in the employee desk area. When she went home, she had forgotten to take her coat. She called the bookstore and was told the coat was there and would be put aside. When she returned to work the next day, it was missing. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

December 20-January 3, Commercial Burglary, A200. Victim reported that she secured her office and left for the holiday days-off. When she returned, she discovered that a piggy bank, cash and a text book were missing. The investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered the office through an unlocked window, and took the victim's property. There was no sign of forced entry. Report taken.

November 16, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, College. Vehicle #1 while making a left turn from northbound Irvine Center Drive onto westbound College, made an unsafe lane change from the #2 lane to the #1 lane colliding with vehicle #2 that was also westbound on College. No injuries were reported. Report taken.

November 11, Petty Theft, B200. Victim reported that she left her wallet in the bathroom. When she returned to retrieve the wallet, it was missing. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

November 10, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, Parking Lot 9. Vehicle #1 backed out of a parking space in Lot 9, without right-of-way or insuring that it was safe to do so, caused a collision with vehicle #2 that was southbound in the traffic aisle. No injuries were reported. Report taken.

November 9, Misdemeanor Hit & Run, Lot 9. An unoccupied legally parked vehicle sustained minor damage when it was struck along the driver's side by an unidentified vehicle driven by an unidentified driver. No witnesses could be located. Report taken.

November 8, Medical Aid, B200. Campus police responded to the Student Health Center following a call for medical aid assistance. The SHC Nurse requested OCFA paramedics for an employee who was experiencing low blood pressure. The victim was examined and transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

November 2, Grand Theft, BSTIC. Facilities staff reported that an 'emergency evacuation slide' was missing form it location on the second floor of Business Science Technology and Innovation Center, near the north stairwell. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

October 26, Grand Theft, B300. Victim reported that she left her laptop computer on a desk during a break. When she returned to the desk, the computer was missing. No witnesses were located. Report taken. RECLASSIFIED-UNFOUNDED

October 26, Petty Theft, PE160. Three victims reported that personal property was taken from their locked PE lockers. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

October 25, Petty Theft, A300. Victim reported that she parked and locked her bicycle to a light post between A300 and BSTIC. When he returned to the location, her bicycle was missing. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

October 17 – October 23

October 21, Petty Theft, Lot 9. Victim reported that he parked his motorcycle in parking lot 9, and secured his helmet with a locking device to the motorcycle. When he returned to his motorcycle, an unknown suspect had cut the chin strap from the locking device and took the helmet. No witnesses were located. Report taken.

October 21, Medical Aid, SSC. Campus police responded to the Student Health Center following a call for medical aid assistance. The SHC Nurse requested OCFA paramedics for an employee who was experiencing hypertension. The victim was examined and transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

October 19, Non-Injury Traffic Collision, Perimeter Rd. Vehicle #1 exited parking lot #5, without right-of-way or insuring that it was safe to do so, causing a collision with vehicle #2 that was southbound on the perimeter road. No injuries were reported. Report taken.

October 18, Medical Aid, A400. Campus police responded to report of a student suffering chest pain in the A400 building. Upon police arrival at the scene, the victim requested medical assistance. OCFA paramedics were contacted and responded to the location. The victim was treated and transported to a local hospital. Report taken.

October 11, Misdemeanor Hit & Run, Lot 5. An unoccupied legally parked vehicle sustained minor damage when it was struck on the driver's side rear quarter panel by an unidentified vehicle driven by an unidentified driver. No witnesses could be located. Report taken.

October 4, Injury Traffic Collision, Lot 1. Vehicle #1, while backing out of a parking stall in Lot #1, collided with vehicle #2, which was traveling in a driving lane within parking lot. The driver of vehicle #1 complained of pain in her neck, shoulders and back. Paramedics were called and responded to the location. The driver of vehicle #1 refused transport by the paramedics. Report taken.

September 26 – October 2

September 30, Injury Traffic Collision, Lot 5. Vehicle #1, while backing out of a parking stall, collided with the right front passenger door of vehicle #2, as a passenger was exiting the right front passenger door of vehicle #2. The impact caused the door to strike the passenger's right leg, leaving minor injuries. Report taken.

September 29, Petty Theft, Librar.y. Victim reported that she left her backpack in a drawer behind the front desk in the Library where she works. After work, she retrieved her backpack and discovered two books missing. Report taken.

September 29, Violation of Restraining Order, A400. Campus police was contacted by a female student who reported that a male student on was campus in violation of a restraining order. In follow-up, police located the male and confirmed he was in violation of the order. The male was ordered to leave the campus pending further action. Report taken.

July 20, Disturbing the Peace-Fighting, Lot #1. Campus police received a call regarding a fight in progress. Upon their arrival at the scene, they were met by a campus administrator who said they had witnessed two females fighting in the parking lot. Both women had left the location. In a subsequent follow-up, both women were located and interviewed. The investigation revealed a mother/daughter argument had taken place. It was determined that no crime occurred. June 7, Missing/Found Person, Athletic Field. Campus Police responded to a report of a transient female wondering through campus. The investigation revealed the subject to be a reported missing person from Garden Grove. The Garden Grove PD was contacted and the subject was reunited with her family at the IVC PD station.

June 8, Misdemeanor Hit and Run, Lot 5, A. Stop Sign was struck and damaged by an unidentified vehicle.

May 31 Incident Report, Lot 5. Police responded to a report of an altercation involving CarFaire staff. The victim of a simple assault refused to file charges and the suspect was released.

June 4, Domestic Violence, ATEP, Room 101. Campus police received a report about an alleged confrontation between two students that had occurred earlier in the day during a class. A follow-up investigation revealed a physical altercation had taken place, and a report was then taken.

May 26 Incident Report, PAC. Police received several reports of a male subject making annoying phone calls to staff. Subject was contacted and advised to discontinue.

May 27 Non-Injury Traffic Accident, College Drive. A driver making an illegal left turn drove over the center median of the roadway causing damage to her vehicle and IVC property. A report was taken.

May 14 Petty Theft, Bookstore. Following a verbal altercation with a bookstore employee, a student was observed leaving the bookstore with two books he had not purchased. He was confronted outside of the Bookstore by another employee and the student dropped the books and ran into the campus. The student was later identified and the incident was handled as a business dispute only.

May 4 Petty Theft, Men's Locker Room. An unknown suspect stole a cell phone from an unlocked locker.

May 5 Battery, A300 Construction Area. During an physical altercation, a construction worker struck pushed another worker inadvertently striking him with a shovel. There were no visible signs of injuries, and the victim refused to file a complaint.

May 6 Misdemeanor Hit and Run, Lot 9. An unoccupied parked vehicle sustained moderate damage when it was struck on the rear bumper by a unidentified vehicle that had left the location.

May 6 Theft, Library. A report was taken for an unauthorized fraudulent purchase made on an employee's credit card.

April 28 Fire, Library. A light fixture above the main entrance to the building caught fire and the Library was evacuated. OCFA responded, but the fire was extinguished before their arrival. After a safety check, the library was reopened.

April 29 Disorderly Conduct, Library. A student who was asked and refused to stop using a cell phone in the Library became verbally abusive and then asked to leave by staff. When he refused police were called. Police contacted the student, and advised/warned him of his conduct.

April 29 Miscellaneous Incident Report, SSC. A student who appeared to have emotional problems was escorted by officers to the Health Center. He was evaluated and released after it was determined that he was not a danger to himself or others.
