About Ted Weatherford

Ted Weatherford, the chair of the Dance Department, earned M.S. in Sports Psychology from California State University, Fullerton. His interest for Dance began when he attained  an A.S. from Orange Coast College, in 1977.  This interest continued when he went on to pursue a B.S. in Kinesiology & minor in Dance from California State University, Fullerton.  Beyond this he danced with famed California Modern Company Gloria Newman Dance Theatre.  He has been a long-time member of the Health Sciences, Physical Education and Athletics department where for many years he was the Head Softball Coach for the women’s softball team.  More recently he was honored with the SCOPE Award for Physical Educator of the Year in 2005.  He teaches Social Dance, is one of the Dance Production Coordinators for Dance Rehearsal and Performance and also teaches Health and Adaptive PE.
