Shack joined Irvine Valley College on January 5, 2005. His areas of responsibility as Dean include Health and Nutrition, Physical Education, Adapted Physical Education, Intercollegiate Athletics and Dance.
From 2000-2005 Shack was the Founding Director of Athletics, PE and Recreation at Soka University. Prior to Soka, he spent 1 year at Santa Monica College as the Athletic Director.
His first position in administration in Higher Education was an 8 year stint at UC Irvine, serving as the Director of Academic Services and NCAA Compliance for Intercollegiate Athletics.
