Irvine Valley College Music Students Attend the Nevada Encounters of New Music Conference 

      Irvine, CA –Over the weekend of February 2-3, Irvine Valley College music students Joshua Mills

 and Brad van Wick attended the Nevada Encounters of New Music Conference at the University of

Nevada, Las Vegas.  Josh and Brad are music theory and composition students of IVC Professor Dr.

 Daniel Luzko as well as members of the IVC Wind Symphony.  Brad also sings in the IVC Voces

MasterChorale and studies piano with Christine Azzoni-Dow and Dr. Janice Park.  They both

presented compositions in a Master Class on Saturday at the conference.  They have had the

opportunity to attend seminars with composers Bruce Broughton, Bernard Rands, Chen Yi, Virko

Baley, Dmitri Tymoczko, and Jorge Grossman among other conference events.
