IVC to Debut A Tuna Christmas, November 3-9,
in Brand New College Performing Arts Center
IRVINE, CA – Irvine Valley College (IVC) will present an extremely funny comedy with music, song
and dance: A Tuna Christmas, November 3-9. This production will be the first presented in IVC’s
Studio Theatre in the new Performing Arts Center. A Tuna Christmas, is the hilarious sequel to the hit
comedy, Greater Tuna. It promises to offer audiences a host of eccentric characters. Set in Tuna,
Texas, where the Lion’s Club is too liberal and Patsy Cline never dies, the cast attempts to cope with
a variety of seasonal traumas including a disaster prone little theatre production of A Christmas Carol
and a yard decorating contest that is being sabotaged by a mysterious Christmas phantom. Bring the
whole family and join in the holiday fun! For Tickets call: (949) 451-5333. Tickets are $10/$11.
November 3, 2007 at 2 p.m. and November 4, 7, 8, 9, 2007 at 8 p.m.
In addition, theatre patrons will also want to mark their calendars for IVC’s main stage spring
production of Fiorello. The college will present this Pulitzer Prize for drama-winning 1959 Broadway
musical about New York City mayor Fiorello H. Laguardia, a reform Republican who took on Tammany
Hall, April 11-19, 2008. This performance will be held in IVC’s brand new performing arts venue, as
part of the theatre’s gala opening season. For ticket information, call (949) 451-5333. Tickets are $10/
$11. April 11, 12, 17, 18, 2008 at 8 p.m. and April 13, 19, 2008 at 2 p.m.
