Ed-venture Travel to Pacific Northwest

For students who enjoy hiking and camping, Irvine Valley College (IVC) is offering a unique lecture and laboratory field course to study the origin, evolution, geology, and natural history of national parks and monuments of the Pacific Northwest. During the ten-day course, students will travel to and visit Mt. St. Helens, Crater Lake, Redwoods, and the Oregon Coast to complete the course requirements of IVC’s Geography 102 and Geology170. While this field study opportunity will be of special interest to students in geology, earth science, and geography, anyone with an interest in the Pacific Northwest is welcome to apply. Irvine Valley College is currently enrolling students for all summer 2007 classes. Summer session dates to remember include: 12-week classes May 21-August 12; 6-week classes May 21-June 30, July 2-August 12; 8-week classes May 21-July 14, June 18-August 12. IVC offers daytime, online, and evening classes, small class size, and financial aid for students who qualify.
