IRVINE, CA — The e-learning movement, a segment of adult education that has only scratched the potential of enrollees, has taken hold particularly in higher, adult education. In response to overwhelming interest in online, non-credit, career training courses Irvine Valley College Community Education has expanded course offerings to accommodate what are considered “hot trend” areas.

Labor market information released by the California Employment Development Department finds that many popular occupations are expected to experience significant growth through 2008, including those in the “hot trend” areas of medical assistants, computer support, dental assistants, database administration, and medical records and health administration.
