PTK students named All-Californians
March 20, 2006
Honors students Alana Dauphinee and Jeremiah David have been named to the 2006 Phi Theta Kappa All-California Academic Teams.
To be selected for the award, students must demonstrate outstanding academic success; a high grade point average; participation in honors programs; membership in academic, community or other organizations; academic and technical honors; and a host of other criteria. Alana was named to the 3rd Academic Team and Jeremiah was named to the 2nd Academic Team.
Over the last two years, Irvine Valley’s Alpha Omega Mu Chapter of the national Phi Theta Kappa honor society has been one of the fastest growing chapters in the California/Nevada region.
The students will be honored on April 6 in Sacramento at the Sacramento Convention Center. The teams will also be recognized in a ceremony on the floor of the California Senate and Assembly.
