The Department of Music will present the IVC Jazz Ensemble, Edward Peffer, Conductor, in a concert on Sunday,
February 26, at 4:00pm.
The concert will feature music by Johnny Burke, Matt Catingub, Tony Guerrero, Quincy Jones, James van Heusen, Tom Kubis, Eric Maschwitz, Gerald Marks, Sammy Nestico, Cole Porter, Manning Sherman, Seymour Simons, and Billy Strayhorn.
The concert will be in the lobby of the IVC Student Services Center, 5500 Irvine Center Drive, Irvine, 92618. Tickets: $6 general, $4 students and seniors 55 and older.
The California Concert Artists, Professional Artists in Residence at IVC will perform on Sunday, February 26, at 4:00pm in Salmon Recital Hall at Chapman University’s Bertea Hall.
The concert will feature Early 20th Century French Woodwind Chamber Music by Les Six: Georges Auric, Darius Milhaud, Louis Durey, Francis Poulenc, Arthur Honegger, and Germaine Tailleferre. Also featured will be the American premiere of Talleferre’s Sonate Cahmpetre.
Chapman University is located at One University Dr., in Orange. Tickets: $10 general; $5.00 for ages 6 to17; and free for ages 5 and under.
