The National Council for Marketing and Public Relations awarded the college the top prize for Web page design at its annual
conference in November. The college earned the Gold Medallion Award for effectiveness in marketing communications,
use of graphics, hypertext links, and the ability to generate web
visits. The web page is designed and maintained by webmaster John Gotthard, who sought to create a new, user-friendly portal to obtain campus information.
Irvine Valley also received a Silver Medallion Award for its 2005 schedule of classes. The award recognizes the schedule’s creativity, theme, design and overall effectiveness as an outreach vehicle for student recruitment. The schedule is designed and produced by Elaine Rubenstein, Brenda Constantino and David Kite in the Publications Office.
Irvine Valley competed against community colleges from Arizona, California, Hawaii, Nevada, Utah, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands and the Territory of Guam.
