College to honor Tom Wall

The college, in association with the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, will honor Tom Wall, past chairman of the Irvine Valley
College Foundation and the Irvine Chamber of Commerce, at a reception on Friday, Feb. 3, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the
Student Services Center Lobby.
Wall will be recognized for his support of community colleges and his long association with Irvine Valley. He will also be recognized as a 20-year Marine veteran with over 1,000 combat missions flown in Vietnam. Brigadier General Robert L. Tate, U.S.A.F. (ret.) will be the special guest speaker; Tustin Councilman Jerry Amante will be the master of ceremonies.
The Lt. Col. Thomas Wall Scholarship Endowment will also be announced. The endowment will provide scholarships to students at the college beginning in 2006. A reception will include hors d’oeuvres and refreshments. The reception and parking are free.
