Jacques Brel is alive at IVC

The Department of Theatre presents Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, April 29 – May 8 in the Forum Theatre. The production brings to the life the words and music of Belgian songwriter Jacques Brel in a cabaret-style revue, filled with the feeling of living in Paris.

It includes 16 of the 300 songs that Brel wrote in his lifetime, and presents a vivid portrait of the artist’s intense musical flair and humor. The play is presented as a fundraiser show for the Irvine Valley College Department of Theatre.

The musical runs Thursday - Saturday at 8 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students and seniors, and $11 for general admission. The box office is open Wednesdays, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets may be purchased at the box office or by calling (949) 451-5333. The Irvine Valley College Forum Theatre is located in Room A-301 at 5500 Irvine Center Dr., Irvine.
