IRVINE VALLEY TO HONOR GRADUATES
IN 2003

Irvine, CAThree hundred and ninety-two students will be awarded associate degrees at Irvine Valley Colleges 18th Commencement Ceremony at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2003 in the Student Services Center Quad. Two hundred and sixty-one students will receive associates in arts degrees, and 31 will receive associates in science degrees. Approximately 400 additional students will be candidates to receive their degrees upon completion of approved coursework in 2003.
For the first time, Irvine Valley will acknowledge students who complete its popular certificate programs during commencement ceremonies. This year, 88 students will participate in ceremonies as they are awarded certificates in the technological, applied, and business sciences.

This years commencement speakers are scheduled to be veteran business and real estate professor Joseph Ryan, who is credited with starting the college Career Placement Center; honors student Kristel Saussay, who emigrated to the U.S. only three years ago from French Polynesia; and Beatrice Tseng, who this year was named the Outstanding Full-Time Professor of the Year.
