Irvine Valley College Foundation
to Honor Sheriff Mike Carona at Annual Dinner
The Irvine Company joins the scholarship
fundraiser to benefit deserving students.
Irvine, CAThe Board of Governors of the Irvine Valley College
Foundation is pleased to announce that The Irvine Company has signed
on as the major sponsor for the Sixteenth Annual IVC Foundation
Awards Dinner. The gala affair will honor Orange County Sheriff Mike
Carona on Wednesday, April 23, at 5:30 p.m. at the Irvine Marriott
Hotel. Sheriff Carona will present a $10,000 donation to a
scholarship fund for students enrolled in the colleges popular
Administration of Justice program.
We are singularly pleased to announce that the Michael S. Carona
Foundation will present a $10,000 check to support the IVC
Administration of Justice program, said Board Chairman Duane Cave.
Also, the Irvine
Company and our other major sponsors have lent our fundraising
efforts significant momentum. We are deeply grateful for the
generosity of our honoree and our sponsors, he added.
Other major sponsors include: the Enterprise Counsel Group, IVC
Associated Students, IVC Student Services, Oakley, the Orange County
Teachers Federal Credit Union, Sempra Energy Utilities, Rogers &
Faubel, Smith Public Affairs, Southern California Edison, Tait and
Associates, Ware Disposal, and former IVC Associated Students
president Anthony Kuo.
Each year, the Irvine Valley College Foundation Awards Dinner
raises funds for student scholarships, classroom resources and
educational equipment.
