IVC Art Gallery Opens Spring with Reception, Thursday, February 20

 Traditional and hi-tech printmaking techniques are highlighted in series of original artworks.

IRVINE, CA The Irvine Valley College Art Gallery presents its first exhibition of the Spring Semester, Grand Central Press, a series of original prints created by selected artists working in partnership the California State University Fullerton Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana. The opening reception is on Thursday, February 20, 6:30 p.m. 8:30 p.m.

Beginning in 1999, the Grand Central Art Center has funded limited edition prints, selecting the artists to be showcased through a non-profit support group managed by the Art Center staff. Printmaking techniques employed by the artists include etching, embossing and high resolution digital reproduction. Production of the prints is completed in collaboration with James Lorrigans Watermark Printmaking Workshop and David Zerull Print and Design.

Artists to exhibit in the show are Shag and Peter Zokosky, Sandow Birk, Aniada Hernandez, and Rachel Rosenthal.

The IVC Art Gallery is open Monday Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The IVC art gallery is located in B-112. For further information, contact Gallery Director, Mark Leysen, at (949) 559-6934.
