Sondheim’s “Company” Takes the Stage at Irvine Valley College

WHO: The Department of Theatre at Irvine Valley College presents “Company,” a musical comedy by Stephen Sondheim, and directed by long-time Irvine Valley College professor, Ron Ellison.

WHAT: “Company” is the story of Robert, whose friends are eager for him to take the plunge into marriage, but the bachelor is reluctant when he sees how his married friends live their daily lives, and he is not encouraged. Robert is waiting for the perfect girl just for him. The award-winning play was first performed on Broadway in April 1970, with a cast featuring Dean Jones, Elaine Stritch, Susan Browning, Pamela Myers, and Donna McKechnie.
