Currently
Math 351,251,253 and 10
math online classes use CourseCompass (MyMathLab). You will be required to purchase an access code (bookstore or online) to finish these classes. Currently these classes have 3 mandatory in-person meetings (including summer of 09).
1) Semester Specific Orientation Information(Mandatory online/In-person optional)
2) Midterm test (Mandatory in-person): given about half-way. The exact date is determined by your instructor.
3) Final test (Mandatory in-person): given during the finals week. The exact date is determined by your instructor.
Your instructor will tell you how you should complete your orientation tasks by the end of your first week of classes. So contact your instructor right after you sign up for your online class.
Our online classes require you to teach yourselves (video, book and guided tutorials), do hw online, take your quizzes online and keep communication with your instructor via e-mail. This takes a lot of self-discipline and some computer literacy. See our student testimonials.
You will have to buy a CourseCompass (MyMathLab) access code either from our bookstore or directly online to access your class. Your book is entirely online; you may choose not to buy a book but only use the online access. If you choose this option, you will need to print things out and/or read your book online
Please refer to the publisher recommended technical guidelines before you sign up for these classes.
