Library Orientations
One of the IVC librarians would be happy
to provide your class with a tour of the library with
information literacy instruction tailored to your class
assignments.
Assignment
Alert
Please let us know about assignments you
will be giving your students that will require many of
them to come to the library looking for similar material.
Reserves
We will pull items from our regular
collections to put on reserve for your class. Click
here to place a request.
The library will be happy to
make your materials available to your students through library reserves. However we
will not accept any materials that we determine to be copyright
violations. This only applies to copied items. There is no
problem if you bring us an original purchased item or something you
have created yourself.
You can make
limited use of copies under fair use. You can use copies for one
semester without getting permission from the copyright holder.
You can only use a portion of an entire item, such as a chapter of a
book, or an article from a journal. You must have notice of
copyright on the front of each
item. Notice of copyright should include the word "copyright" or
the symbol, the date of copyright and the name of the
copyright holder.
Example: Copyright 1997
McGraw-Hill Items that are in
violation of copyright will not be placed on reserve.
Video List
We have created a list of our videos
organized by subject discipline.
