Free Basic Skills Tutoring

Follow these three simple steps to sign up for free tutoring:

  1. Secure a referral from your instructor
  2. Register for TU301 (no cost)
  3. Submit your availability schedule through the TU 301 Blackboard course site
 
Secure a referral from your instructor
To secure a referral, complete the TUTORING 301 REFERRAL FORM and either email to your instructor or print out and take to his/her office for authorization. If your instructor is unavailable, you may also take this to the Counseling Center* in Student Services 210 for authorization from the counselor on duty.
                                  
*IMPORTANT NOTE:  If requesting authorization from the Counseling Center, make sure to bring a print out of your class schedule with you. This is how they will be able to confirm your enrollment in qualified courses.
 
Register for TU301
Once the Learning Center receives your signed Referral Form, you will be emailed an APC code with instructions for registering for TU 301, Supervised Tutoring (0 units, no fee).

 

Submit your availability schedule
Once you are registered for TU 301, you will be able to log into the TU301 Blackboard course site to access, complete and submit the Tutor Request form. Requests submitted by midnight Thursday of a given week will be scheduled for the following week.
