Congratulations to IVC’s Daphne Gunawan and Stephanie Ly, two of 76 students from 40 colleges celebrated at the April 3 annual luncheon honoring the Phi Theta Kappa All-California Team held in Sacramento. Daphne Gunawan is a second-year student at IVC planning to transfer to UCLA to pursue a bachelor’s degree in computer science. She currently holds the position of vice president of leadership at our school’s Alpha Omega Mu chapter. IVC student Stephanie Ly will be graduating in the spring of 2014 with an associate degree in social and behavioral sciences. She will be transferring to a four-year institution to study environmental science with an emphasis on policy. This year, 25 California community college students were selected for the All-California Academic First Team, 26 students for the Second Team and 26 students for the Third Team. The Community College League of California sponsors this award ceremony.
