Irvine Valley's men's golf team is getting better with each outing.

The Lasers finished 12th of 17 teams at the Eagle Classic hosted by Mt. San Jacinto last Friday at Soboba.

The Lasers finished with a team score of 398. IVC finished in front of Mt. San Jacinto, El Camino, Victor Valley and Antelope Valley.

And Irvine Valley was not far off of Citrus (396), Cuyamaca (395), College of the Desert (391) and Saddleback (389).

Irvine Valley did pick up five losses in the match, however as it was scored as an Orange Empire Conference event.

Leading the way for Irvine in the contest were two freshmen. Nate Noblitt shot 75 and Mike Lorrimer shot 77.

Irvine Valley also got scores of 79 from sophomores Jed Meng and Zach Chavous. Sophomore Zach Alcock and freshman Josh Whitesides each came in at 88.

Irvine Valley plays again on Wednesday in a conference match hosted by Cypress at the Navy Course at 10 a.m.
