The Irvine Valley men's volleyball team ended a two-match losing streak with a solid 25-14, 26-24, 25-22 victory over El Camino on Friday afternoon at home.
IVC and El Camino had already met earlier in the season with the Lasers topping the Warriors for the title at the Long Beach
With Friday's win, Irvine Valley improved its record to 2-2 on the season.
The Lasers got 10 kills from sophomore outside hitter Kevin Ringuette and seven kills from sophomore opposite Sam Cornell and sophomore outside hitter Trevor Lund in the victory.
Ringuette also had six digs and Lund added two aces. Sophomore defensive specialist Garrett Komisarek also finished with six digs.
Irvine Valley hit .341 as a team in the contest, which was its best so far this season.
The Lasers will try to keep it going next week when they play two matches on the road. The team is at Moorpark at 6 p.m. on Wednesday and plays at Santa Barbara City at 6 p.m. on Friday.
