El Toro High basketball players Jasmine Kennon and Jessica Gillings announced on Wednesday that they would play for the Irvine Valley women's team next season.
Kennon and Gillings have helped the Chargers to a 22-2 overall record and 6-1 mark in the South Coast League so far this season.
El Toro is ranked ninth in Orange County and 24th in the state in the latest polls. Kennon, a guard/forward, is averaging 7.6 points, 7.0 rebounds, 2.4 steals and 1.8 assists, while Gilings, is also a guard/forward, is averaging 4.8 points and 1.9 rebounds.
Irvine Valley currently has a record of 14-11 overall and 5-2 in the Orange Empire Conference. The Lasers are battling for a conference title, just a game behind Fullerton and Cypress for first place.
