Irvine Valley's Tina Vuong named Orange Empire Conference MVP

2011-vuong.jpgIVC sophomore women's tennis player Tina Vuong was recently named the Orange Empire Conference's player of the year. Vuong had a singles record of 14-0 during the regular season for the Lasers, going 13-0 at the No. 1 position. She also went 12-1 in doubles, including 11-1 with teammate Natalie Loria at the No. 1 spot. Vuong was named all-conference in doubles with Loria. Loria was also selected an all-conference selection in singles. Loria had a record of 7-4 in singles on the season. Vuong and Loria helped IVC to a 10-5 record overall and a 7-3 mark in conference, which tied with Riverside for second in the final standings.
