21 IVC student athletes commit to play at four-year schools

Vball TransferA record 21 Irvine Valley student-athletes from seven different 2010-11 teams have committed to play at four-year colleges or universities next school year.

The most comes from baseball with a total of six players, including pitcher Daniel Levine, who is heading to Division I Nevada Reno.

The women's volleyball team has five players, including outside hitter Ellie Wiekamp, who will be playing at Division I Manhattan College.

The men's basketball team sports four players, including three that are heading to Division I schools.
