IVC Design Installations

Three student teams from the 3-Dimensional Design class created installations at IVC on Wednesday August 30.
Student study of Andy Goldsworthy’s work inspired the project, as did other contemporary and historical examples of designs and structures created from objects in nature.

Initially, individual observations and drawings were used to explore design possibilities. Students were then organized in teams who were challenged to incorporate in their group design concepts, contributions and ideas from each team member. Following one class session of planning, the teams then had approximately 2 1/2 hours to gather materials and install their designs.
