Foundation Awards Dinner
April 28, 2008

This year’s gala, which was sponsored by Enterprise Counsel Group, raised more than $28,000 for Irvine Valley College.  Dr. Jim Doti, president of Chapman University, was the keynote speaker, and Steve Churm, publisher of OC Metro Business magazine, served as the master of ceremonies.

Four individuals were recognized for their outstanding contributions to the college with presentation of the IVC Medal, the Foundation’s highest honor.

Medal winners were Betty Turner Everett (Vortex Industries, Inc.) for her generous support of the college’s scholarship program, Harmon A. Kong (Iwamoto Kong) for his many years of involvement with the Irvine Valley College Foundation and his company’s support of the college and Professor George Brogan for support of the college and outstanding work as a geology professor.
