Matthew graduated from Irvine Valley College earlier this year and is now a student at Chapman University, where he is studying creating writing. While at Irvine Valley College, he was a member of the college’s nationally ranked debate team, and he served as student body vice president. After college, he plans to attend law school.
Coincidentally, Chapman University President Jim Doti and Matthew share a common background -- both are proud Italians who have family roots from Catania, Sicily.
Irvine Valley College has the #1 transfer rate among community colleges in Orange County and #3 among all California community colleges.
