Music Theory and Composition Benefit Concert
Sun., September 11, 2016 • 4 pm Chiara D'Odorico, piano, performs
new music from Latin America. Composers: Alberto Ginastera (Argentina), Francisco Mignone (Brazil), Nancy Luzko (USA-Paraguay), Juan Carlos Moreno Gonzalez (Paraguay), and featuring IVC professor Daniel Luzko’s premiere of “In Memoriam,” 15 years after the 9/11 tragedy.

Dr. Stephen Rochford, Iman Khosrowpour, Dan St. Marseille, Kevin Jellison, conductors. Mathieu Girardet, guest alumnus conductor.

Keyboard Benefit Concert: Echoes of Hope
Sun., October 9, 2016 • 4 pm
This concert, featuring performances by six internationally acclaimed young artists, is a celebration of the lives and music of nine Jewish composers affect- ed by the Holocaust, eight of whom perished in concentration camps. Commemorate International Holocaust Remembrance Day with this rare and profoundly moving program. This concert sponsored in part by the Lisker Music Foundation.

This concert will benefit the Jenny Richards Memorial Endowed Vocal Music Scholarship, Tonya Reed Gardner Memorial Endowed Music Scholarship, Ikemi-Murakami Music Scholarship, and John Schneiderman Guitar Scholarship, and will be matched by the IVC Foundation PROIVC Campaign.

Keyboard Benefit Concert: Anderson & Roe
Fri., February 24, 2017 • 7:30 pm Known for their adrenalized perform- ances, original compositions, and noto- rious music videos, Greg Anderson and Elizabeth Joy Roe are revolutionizing the piano duo experience for the 21st century. Described as “Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers transposed from the dance floor to the keyboard” (Southampton Press) and “the intense synchronization of genius” (ThirdCoast Digest), Anderson & Roe aim to make classical music a relevant and powerful force around the world.

Music Theory and Composition stu- dents of Dr. Daniel Luzko will present their musical creations. Come support our students and enjoy their hard work. Proceeds will benefit the Theory and Composition Area.

14th Annual IVC Jazz Picnic
Sat., May 6, 2017 • 2 pm
IVC Jazz Ensemble, conducted by
Dan St. Marseille, and the El Toro High School Jazz Ensemble, conducted by Brandon Miller, with our 2017 featured guest artist Kevin Richardson, trumpet. Richardson is a veteran performer with the Buddy Rich Band, Louis Bellson Band, the Brian Setzer Orchestra, Tom Kubis Big Band and other jazz and pop luminaries, including Michael Bolton and Tom Jones. $5 corkage fee for beer and wine only (no hard liquor); corkage fee and other donation proceeds benefit music scholarships.
