Don Bradshaw is employed full time at Irvine Valley College teaching courses such as Financial Accounting 1A, Managerial Accounting 1B, Business Math 114, Cost Accounting 203, Payroll Accounting and Taxation 205, Individual Income Taxes – Federal and State 206, Business Income Taxes – Federal and State 207, Internal Controls Under Sarbanes-Oxley 209, and General Accounting 215.
When not teaching, he pursues his many interests, which include gardening, woodworking, reading, writing, cooking, spoiling his bird and grandchildren, and catching extraordinarily large fish far out at sea.
He has Associate’s Degrees in Life Sciences and Physical Sciences from Chaffey Community College, a Bachelor’s in Business Administration – Accounting Emphasis from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master’s in Business Administration – Accounting Emphasis from the University of La Verne. His first career was in nursing, which he began in the Army. He has worked in public accounting, corporate management and, since 2004, in community college teaching. Industry experience includes manufacturing, engineering, distribution, and service companies. Areas of expertise include financial and cost accounting, auditing and internal controls, manufacturing quality control, and income taxation.
Memberships include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the California Society of CPA’s, the Institute of Management Accountants (2013/2014 Orange County Chapter President), the Institute of Internal Auditors, and the American Society for Quality.
