Jan 9, 2010: Camp Pendleton Day. We went and worked on a broken generator on the site.
Jan 27, 2010: Homecoming Basketball Game. Game started at 5:30 pm. IVC beat Saddleback in the men's game. Our ASEC member won homecoming King award.
Jan 30, 2010: Astounding Inventions (WATER ROCKETS) 9 am-3 pm. ASEC members did great.
Feb 3, 2010: Club Day – 11:30 am – 1:00 pm.

Feb 5, 2010: Raytheon presentation 2-3 pm in B118. "What Does an Applied Math Major Do Anyway?" by Mine Hagen who is an engineering manager with more than 25 years of experience in Industry. Presently, she is the risk manager supporting Florida Toll Roads project. She has worked 15 years as a software manager for C2, C4I, Radars, Navigation and Special Applications large system software (millions of lines of code). She also worked as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead managing different engineering disciplines (Software, Systems, and Hardware). She has a M.S and B.S degrees in Applied Mathematics, and she also has an A.A degree in Computer Science.

Dec 4: Future of Aerospace Engineering. Lecture- Judy Arslancan (Space Shuttle Designer) 2 pm B118. POSTPONED TO JANUARY. Meeting is still on to build mousetrap cars and the telescope.
November 15th (Sunday): Biology Day 10 am to 2 pm in A402 Biology Lab. We learnt how to calculate calories on different foods with the help of our own wonderful Dr. Schmeidler and Prof. Priscilla Ross Chair of Life sciences.

October 8-9 Overnight Event at Lucerne Lake: ASEC spent the night at Big Bear's Lucerne Lake to observe the impact of LCROSS on the moon. LCROSS was launched with the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) aboard an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral, Fla., on June 18, 2009 at 2:32 p.m. PDT. The LCROSS shepherding spacecraft and the Atlas V’s Centaur upper stage rocket executed a fly-by of the moon on June 23, 2009 (LCROSS lunar swingby video stream coverage) and entered into an elongated Earth orbit to position LCROSS for impact on a lunar pole. On final approach, the shepherding spacecraft and Centaur separated. The Centaur acted as a heavy impactor to create a debris plume that rose above the lunar surface. Impact at the lunar South Pole was: Oct 9, 2009 at 4:30 a.m. PDT. ASEC observed the impact with the Roc astronomers.
October 3:Costa Mesa Solar Tours with Green Team Alliance: ASEC visited 4 homes that were green certified because of their use of "green" construction materials and solar energy.

April 2008: The club will be visiting Microsoft, Corp. to develop the IVC Young Engineers Club Video Game.
March 11, 2008: Senior Day, the YEC will launch water balloons with catapults. Starts at 11:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. in the IVC Quad!
March 5, 2008: "Technology Trends Talk" with Guest Speaker Sam Stokes of Microsoft, Corp. He hopes to have an XBOX 360 to raffle off at this event! Starts at 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. in room B209.
