IVC’s Classified Senate is an active shared governance group that provides classified professionals an opportunity to participate effectively in the college decision-making process. It enables classified employees to have a voice in college governance regarding issues that affect classified staff outside the scope of the collective bargaining process. Participation in IVC’s Classified Senate stimulates awareness of and commitment to the vision, mission and core values of Irvine Valley College.

The role of the Classified Senate is to represent all classified professionals of Irvine Valley College in the participatory governance system and provide an opportunity to voice our various opinions, needs, concerns and viewpoints to the administration, faculty and classified managers.
I hope you will join me and our fellow colleagues and participate in our meetings, committees, and task forces. We also invite you to attend and enjoy the Retreats, workshops, celebrations and other fun events that promote participation in our campus community.
